NOMENCLATURE
The Centre derived her name from the famous companion of the Noble Prophet (SAW) Abdullahi Ibn Mas’ud who was the most proficient reciter of the Holy Qur’an to the extent that the Prophet (SAW) recommended that “if you want to listen to the best recitation of the Glorious Qur’an, you should go to Ibn Mas’ud”. It was on the premise of his contribution to Islam and development of Qur’anic recitation techniques which aligns with the centre’s objective that the idea to name the Centre after him arose.
